The Ungrateful Soul

As I climb this steep mountain
Suddenly I face a terrible avalanche and lots of rain

I panic and look here and there for a safe place
I strain my eyes to find a trace

Of a cozy shelter to protect and shield
Me and the belongings that I wield

Finally I spot a big rock
Big enough to safe me from the heavy snow block

I struggle to reach there
With the place being slippery everywhere

With great difficulty I adjust my things
Curse the bad weather, for all the troubles it brings

I blame God for making life so treacherous
For making each of my path so dangerous

As these irrational thoughts were haunting my mind
Suddenly the storm ended and bright sunlight emerged from behind

With that, a notion struck my dumb brain
I felt ashamed of shouting at God for the storm, for the heavy rain

Instead of thanking him for the shelter he provided
I cursed him, Words of imprecation I shamelessly showered

There are times when we are so ungrateful
Condemn things which actually make our life so meaningful

It’s high time we realize
Everything in life, we must not criticize

Life is seriously beautiful
Its upto us when we open our eyes and make it purposeful
